Illustrious guest Pernambuco State Governor praises Miguel Arraes Hospital construction work
In September, Eduardo Campos, the Pernambuco State governor, visited the building site of the Hospital Metropolitano Norte Miguel Arraes hospital in the town of Paulista, within the Recife metropolitan area. “This is a first-world hospital that will serve the population entirely through SUS” (the government’s Single Healthcare System) said the governor during his interview. This is one more real estate development in the portfolio of Schahin Engenharia, a construction firm with vast experience in building hospitals.
The construction work, which is essentially ready, was praised by the governor, by the vice-governor and by João Lyra Neto, the state secretary of health. During the visit, the government authorities visited the wards, the intensive care unit, the surgical wing (where state-of-the-art equipment was installed for simulation purposes) and the helipad.
The Miguel Arraes Hospital will offer 150 beds, 30 of which for intensive care. The facility has the capacity to provide 62 thousand appointments with physicians and 24 thousand hospital stays a year. The hospital complex will serve some 1.1 million inhabitants of the northern part of the Recife metropolitan area and of the northern part of the Zona da Mata region.
The governor’s satisfaction strengthens Schahin, whose operations are guided by its expertise in the hospital sector and by the pursuit of construction excellence and quality. All of this fully accredits the company to build any hospital, such as Hospital Metropolitano Sul Dom Hélder Câmara, also in Recife, the building of which is also well under way.
